german home project demos members partner events contact The Information Society Technologies (IST) Programme of the European Commission Under the Framework V Research and Technology Programme IST builds on the convergence of information processing, communications and media technologies. IST Framework V (1998-2002) programme has a budget of 3600 million Euro, and is managed by the Information Society Directorate General of the European Commission. The PAIDFAIR project, IST-2000-29616, partly supported by the European Commission, is a trial which applies a leading edge technology for applications. It is within the scope and objectives of Action Line II.4.2: Large -scale trust and confidence, of the Key Action II New Methods of Work and Electronic Commerce. In this respect, the PAIDFAIR project is one of the building blocks to promote trust and confidence through • protection of Intellectual Property contents and software • guaranteeing less piracy losses for vendors • additional business opportunities using Pay-Per-Use solutions.
